Main Project Features :
This project includes rehabilitation of 54 streams located within the metropolitan area of Izmir, including the suburbs of Konak, Buca, Gaziemir, Balçova, Narlıdere, Güzelbahçe, Bornova, Karşıyaka and Çigli.
The total length of the streams rehabilitated for flood control purposes was 161 km with a maximum flow of 293 m³/sec.
Type of Services Provided :
- Preparation of flood basin maps (scale: 1/25,000 and 1/5,000). for each streambed
- Collection of Basic Data and Evaluation
- Determination of the discharge volume (Q100 & Q500) for each stream
- Hydraulic calculations
- Determination of the floodway for each streambed
- Topographical studies
- Preparation of preliminary design for streambeds rehabilitations
- Preparation of detailed design
- Preparation of tender documents for implementation
